Funeral Hearse into Ute?

In America, Ute cars have no been sold since the El Camino. I thought it would be a good idea to buy a used Cadillac Hearse, take the back roof off, spray some bed liner in the back and presto! A modern, American, four-door Ute.

Unfortunately I have no money (or time) to fund this project, but if someone else wanted to do it, I think it would be an easy project car.

4-door Utes are not cool IMO.
In Soviet Union, people used to make 2-door Utes from 4-door cars. Most of them looked ugly, but some were sweet.

Incorrect. Subaru sold the Baja (BRAT successor) in America from 2003 to 2006.

If you want to to make a ute from a funeral type car then get the flower car, all the work is already done.
