yay, hello guys and girls...

Been playing the gt-games for a while... the first game i never completed, beeing 7 years old the IA license tests and big championchips were a bit hard... :P

While beeing 14 I played GT2... Which I just played, didnt aim for anything else...

Now I am into GT3 for second time, playing on my friends ps2 earlier, but since I got a job now I bought my own PS2 and some speakers. As first game, I bought GT3 of course, the onlyt reason I really bought the thing (and yeah gt4 of course).

Well I never played this game fully out since I ALWAYS play it the same way. Start out, get money tune, save for escudo.... = Booring after a while... Was thinking of another strategy like just taking one license at the time...

As start I Will get all golds on the B-license test to get the Mazda and race the Sunday cup stock and then go on to Clubman cup with racing chip, oil change and muffler....

And after this? Got any suggestions to make the game funny and not to hard.

Hmm, to make a long story short: Anyone know of a fun and good strategy?

If in wrong category, mods, plz move, thx

The only way to make progress through the game is to play it, and for me simply racing, no matter the car, is fun.

So the best way IMO to play and have a good time is to simply play. Just playing should be enjoyable, and not too hard (if you've got skill)

Your right, but my problem is I always end up doing pretty much all races with the escudo which isnt fun in the long run... So Im restarting in a hour trying to play in a more strict line... Like taking one license, doing all the races for it, and then go on to next license... The problem Is that I will end up racing sunday cup 100 times to get the cars for each race... yeah yeah, if I start otu with the car from the license test, which should be my second car? I usually buy the 3000GT but I want variaton. Anyone know of any second car which is good and fun besides the 3000GT?

to end up not doing all the races in the escudo, watch the preview before you race, and then base your car selection off of the compition.

In other words, if you going to race the american championship, don't use the escudo, use a viper instead to have better compition.

A good second car for me was the Mustang, it's cheap, you can tune it to go fast. But be aware that when you tune it up to about 636 hp, you have to have extreme accelorator control around corners or the car will be uncrontrolable.

Okay, thanks, whats the price of the mustang?

Hmm... Ill try to remember :P

Well, well, of gaming soon, just got to get the girl out of the house :P

About the F1 cars, how big is the chance getting one? I played super speedway endurance on my last save, completed it first 8 (!!!) times without getting the F1 car :(

the price of the mustang I think is about 31,000 - 35,000 cr. if I remeber correctly.

with the F1 cars it is pure luck, the fastest way to get an F1 is the super speedway endurance race, just keep doing it. or you could try the seattle circuit endurance, since the AI isn't too fast and the race is only 40 laps.

If you want a better chance of winning an F1 then you can do the Laguna Seca endurance since instead of a 1/4 chance at an F1 you now have a 50/50 chance.

If you do get an F1, no car (except for an F1) will be able to beat you on any course (except for test track since there top speed is average) if you thought that the escudo was fast, the F1 will be unbelieavable (atleast it was for me).

The only problems with F1's is that you can't tune them. The engine, drivetrain, brakes, suspension, etc. can't chance. You can however change the oil which will increase the total power. But in the way of horsepower that's all you can do.

You also can't change the tires. As odd as that sounds you cannot change the tire on an F1 car, they stay at medium and you can't change that. So you need to pit every 7 or 8 laps.

The F090/s is the car you win from the super speedway endurance, the car has great handling, and is wonderful to race, but the F1 that you really want to get is the F094/s.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for taking time helping me :)

Ill go downstairs starting with the B-license in 5 minutes...

Anyone got a link to a good get-all-gold-license guide since last time it took me 5-6 hours on the B-license....

daan has been known to drive with his feet when bored. And at least one person has turned in a clean lap using the DVD remote instead of a DS2/wheel. They're both reasonably funny ways to play the game.

well, i had fun with the game because i got the code for trilllion code
i had fun buying all the cars i wanted and tune them all :)

Here's a thought..... It's what's kept me busy for the past 6 months or so on my 4th pass through the game. In my opinion, the game isn't 100% complete until you've driven every car in the game, and put some miles on them.

So.... Do B-Licence all gold, take the Miata LS and put some sports tyres on it.
Do A-licence all gold take the RX-8 and put T2 Super-slick tyres on it.

Do the rest of the licence tests, IB, IA & S not necessarily gold, you can come back to those later....

When you get IA licence, take the Miata LS to the Roadster Enduro. Win that & you'll get 100,000 Cr and another car, 3 in 4 chance of getting a different Miata model and 1 in 4 chance of getting the F688/S.

Now, take the RX-8 to the Polophony digital cup. Win all 10 races, and you'll get 50,000Cr per race win (500,000 Cr) + 400,000 Cr (I think) for series win and a prize car, either the F094/S 👍 , Suzuki Escudo :yuck:, TVR Speed 12 :D or the Toyota GT-One :)

Unless you win the F094/S, sell the prize car for an additional 200 - 500,000 Cr as you can win any of the other 3 elsewhere later on.

You'll now have over a million credits in the bank.

If you also complete Arcade mode time attacks you'll win a Panoz Esperante GTR-1 which you can also win elsewhere later (Seattle Enduro or Professional League Dream Car Championship) so sell this for 500,000 Cr too.

You'll now have close to 2 million Cr in the bank. If you want, go back & gold the other licences for the prize cars, but keep those cars.
Otherwise, you now have enough cash to buy and mod a lot of cars, so use a different car for every spot race & championship. E.g. Beginner league Spider & Roadster challenge:- use a different car for each of the 3 races, say a Toyota MR-S S Edition, a Miata (the one you probably won for the Roadster Enduro, unless you're lucky enough to get F1 first time out!) and Nissan Silvia Varietta.
Try to win each race by spending as little as possible modifying the car.

For multi-league championships, e.g. Vitz (Yaris) Challenge, use the Euro edition Vitz for the beginner league series and the 1.5RS Vitz for the professional league series.

Don't sell any prizecar that you can't win again or buy again..... try and complete the game so that when you hit 100% and you win the F094/S again, you already have a garage that has at least 1 of every vehicle in the game in, with more than 0 miles on each one.

Hope this helps. Have fun!...... Lots of it!

ive used the dvd remote to do some races.. quite fun. :D

but yeah i rekon using non racing cars and try and do the pro series.

You have to challenge yourself by using underpowered cars and the game will become more fun. Also, try getting gold on liscenses, it is ver addicting.

Though I didn't get gold on all the b licenses, I have found it fun going through the game without buy a car (except my first car). Though I'm only at 38 % right now, I am having a good time. It makes it so you have to win cars at higher races to get to race a beginner race. Example for me was the Type-R meeting. I was unable to race in this, until I got the Spoon Civic Type-R. So I had to win FF professional just to get it, then I went back and raced the type-r meetings.

To me it was fun. When GT4 comes out, I will get gold on the first license's test to get the first free car, then go from there. I do however need to try to make the races a little more fair. Winning the GT-One real quick, has made the game too easy. Then again, I'm a pretty ****ty driver anyways.
