Funniest thing id seen in a while, a guy turned up in a GT by Citroën Concept '08 to drag race at the top gear track. He turned the car round to go in reverse. I was blown away by the speed of that car going backwards, it was crazy. I mean it beat a good few of the other cars easily.

Wasnt having that, so I went and got mine out and low and behold this car goes as quick in reverse as it does forwards. In actual fact this guy and I compared the difference in forwards and reverse. Reverse won.

On top gear track I can get to 185mph forwards and the same in reverse, only in reverse it takes off a lot lot quicker.
Just thought this was strange, and yes its because its electric but was a new one to me.
I continued to race guys in reverse the rest of the night and had great fun, that cars actually good for something then.

Yeah, I love that thing, though it's very hard to handle with a T500RS when it goes backwards :/
 
Now I know which car I'm buying next :)
 
I glitched one of these yesterday..for the sheer heck of it.Glad I did now..:lol:
 
Heh, I thought the Chaparral 2J was the fastest car in reverse. (160 mph)
 
I only just figured this last night, me and my mate raced a lot of cars against it to see what it could beat in reverse
 
In GTPSP I would see how many tracks I could win at in the reverse gear. It was just the Teat Course, Motegi and High Speed Ring I actually did win at.
 
Is there any other electric cars? im guessing they'd run in reverse just the same.
 
It's cool and all, but its annoying when I'm "free running" at TGTT with a lesser powerful car and going down the runway... never fails I always attract the attention of a CitroenGT user that mocks me with his high speed reverse until I finally turn off down the hammerhead or something.

It's nothing new though. I think just about everyone has a GT where its soul purpose is to drive backwards lol. Where ever there is drag racing, there is at least one CitroenGT racing backwards... thanksfully they're not ridiculously fast like 230mph+.

Also it being the ugliest car in the game doesn't help it in being less annoying.
