does anyone have any amusing quotes or things said on radio le mans. i have some from the 1993 radio le mans crew. i got them off of the video review which is a mix of unique footage and radio le mans commentary. here are some of my favourites:
"The pink Venturi has I think at last expired!!"
"Last year: winning the category, this year: STONE LAST!!! (talking about Hugh Chamberlain and his old Spice. He ran three cars that year, 2 lotus esprit 300s and the spice and all 3 retired!!!)
Janice: "I was completely flumoxed when I saw them putting the fuel on one of those prototype cars into the windscreen wash!!! I'm sure that's where it was going!!!
Ian Titchmarsh: "But Janice, they don't have windscreens!!!"
(other guys laugh in the background)
Janice:"......ooh no!! maybe that's why they put it there!!!"
Janice: ....well, I've been tied up with some rope now!!!
Ian Titchmarsh: OH!!!
(other guys laugh)
Steve: Onto the chair I suppose!!!
(more laughing)
Janice: I'M NOT SITTING DOWN!!!! (she laughs)
Ian: As long as Steve slaps our wrists, we'll behave. Steve, are you still in control of the situation?
(Steve slaps Ian's wrist) Steve: YES!!
(they all laugh)
Steve:I'll just keep doing that!
Other guy: Yes, but not to me!!!
(Ian falls about laughing!!)
Other guy: I'm sitting here nicely, I'm being good!!
Ian: "The no. 27 Spice is just coming into the pits and it is going very slowly or I'm amagining things.
Martin: Oh, I think you're amagining things!.... and no, it's not coming into the pits"(it's actually coming out of mulsanne corner. then a lot of smoke come from the rear)
Martin: OH!
Other guy: Oh dear!
Ian: Probably won't make it!!! Yes it's smoking...
