I'm stoked about the return of Futurama. A much better series than Simpsons at the moment. There's always some crazy, unexpected nonsense that just brings a smile to your face.

It'll be interesting to hear John DiMaggio again. While Futurama's been off the air, he's been extremely busy, doing several series on Cartoon Network (Ben10, Generator X, Adventure Time to name a few) and several video games. In that time, Bender's voice could have easily changed, but we'll see. :P

anyways, see you after the first two episodes of the new season.

Well, I'm about 10 minuets into the first new episode, and bender seems to sound just as he always did. I'm glad to see my favorite series return to the air.

Damn, just ran up to check this out, but it's on Comedy Central and I don't have cable. :grumpy:
Guess I'll be waiting for the DVD release then. :(

Which provider do you have for your televised entertainment?

To be honest I very rarely watch any TV (as in you can count on the fingers of 1 hand the number of times I sit down and watch a broadcast program per year) so the "bunny-ears" picking up the local broadcast networks are all I get. (About 11 channels in English, an equal number of Spanish ones, and 3 or 4 in Chinese.)
My wife uses the TV for Glee & America's Next Top Model, both of which are on local broadcast, so that's all we bother with. Other than that the TV is just there for watching DVDs or streaming stuff from NetFlix via the Wii.
I hate commercials with a passion and will do anything to avoid them. 👎
I have no objection to paying for TV without commercials, but that doesn't happen here, you have to pay to get extra channels and still have to endure commercials which is just crap. Or you then have to pay extra to get TiVo or similar so you can record stuff and FFWD through the commercials.
That annoys me, so I don't bother.
There's other ways to watch stuff too, but not suitable for discussion here. ;)

To be honest I made buying a nice stereo system a far higher priority than a TV when I first moved out here, and given that I have almost 800 CDs (and counting) I'm far more apt to put on some music and read a book than I am to turn on the TV.
About the only time I ever watch TV is while I'm in hotels on business trips or vacation, but I just can't get sucked into that "I have to be in at such & such a time on a particular day every week or I'll miss ----- show" sort of mentality.

First two episodes of the new season are over and they were just as awesome as I remember the series. There were some awesome jokes, like slipping in a "Comedy Central Channel" pun in. And there were plenty of "what the heck" moments. Yet, there was too much Leela and Zapp. I want more Bender and Fry and Professor.

So happy it’s back. :) Second episode was a tad meh, but I’m still stoked.

"Good news everyone. New season of Futurama starts June 24th...........Oh... am I late?"

Uhhhhh... D'oh. It's the 25th. And I haven't seen the first one. No when it's on and what channel?

Comedy Central, and they will probably air both next Thursday before the next new episode. I'm guessing they will probably be re-airing both plenty before than though.

Watch anywhere from 11-1AM on most nights. That's around when Comedy Central likes to show an hour or 2's worth of Futurama.

So glad they are back. So hillarious...
The best is the 3rd episode with the eyephone. Nearly crapped my pants and cool to see that groening has the same opinion about that subject than me....

For anyone who has missed it, go to CastTV and all the current Season 6 episodes are there to watch. :)

The past 3 episodes were awesome. Love this show... didn't realize how much I missed it.
