Scale models and concept art obviously play an important part in the design process, but I wonder how virtual platforms like GT or Forza might also become a part of a design contest like this... how cool would it be if you could show off your design by letting people get behind the wheel and take your creation for a spin around the Nurb?

the 1st one looks so much like the GT by Citreon it's uncanny.

Yep, although atleast it still has some recognisably Ferrari-ish features... the only thing that looks Ferrari-like on 3rd place is the badge...

This is the winner for me:
EDIT: Tree'd by 2 posts.

We're looking 20 and 30 years into the future here so perhaps Ferraris will look like the 3rd one by then ;)

Third one is our own Royal College of Arts. Plenty of top designers have come from there originally. Sign of things to come though that the winning team was from a Korean university - the far east really is forging forward when it comes to design and engineering now.

The 2nd one reminds me of the Maserati Birdcage Concept that was revealed a few years back.

As for this design, well, I'd be lying if I said I liked it:

It's as if it was designed to look like a training shoe. I'm guessing it probably was to be honest.

I find it amusing that 'future' cars always use a heavily stylized version of whatever the contemporary, existing design language is. The result is always a bit retro-futuristic.

That isn't to say they aren't good, because I think they look stunning, for the most part. Not sure on #3...

I'd like to see the 2nd one made. The first one looks like something from Mazda and the 3rd one is just horrible (although it does have the front air vents from an F430 on it).

I really like the 2nd one. Perhaps a bit "90's," but I still think it would be cool.

The first one looks like a melted Enzo, and the third one looks about as generic as possible.

Second place is the winner to me, very cool and looks like it could actually be used.

+1

My 2nd and 3rd would be the design behind the second place car and the DSK design with the black center.

Project F70 I'm guessing? It's about time they kick it into high gear and release a flagship that leaves everyone else trailing.

And I agree with Kent. The second one wins and is the most likely one to be used, but with a bit more retro flash.

The first one looks demonic though.
