The new Car & Driver just arrived and there is an article on Mark Stielow and his latest '69 Camaro,Red Devil. If you have never heard of this guy check him out he is amazing.Anyway,at the end of the article they are talking about how expensive it would be to replicate his car and they say "Eventually, you'll be able to race a digitized version of the Red Devil in a future Gran Turismo video game".

DLC maybe?I hope its not for GT6.Anybody know anything about this?

I did not know he won. Thanks for the info & the link.I did not see the Optima challenge last year. The year before was pretty cool though.

No problem. :)

The article was pretty clear:
"This decision guarantees "Red Devil" a spot in an upcoming version of Gran Turismo game (sorry folks, not GT5, as that car list is set…) where players can drive the 800+ horsepower LS9 powered pro-touring car on a variety of racetracks around the world."

Whats not clear is where that statement originated, and since Kaz was there, its possible he said that or perhaps the Redline folks assumed since the game had been release that it couldn't be added.

NA
It won a Gran Turismo award, and those tend to make it to the game. It's not clear if we get it for GT5 or GT6 however.

Let me rephrase: It's never been confirmed to be coming has GT5 DLC, in a GT5 update, or in GT6.

But they deffinitly got the idea that it would be added at a later date from Kaz. There's just no speculation on their part about adding to GT5, has it was days before GT5 release, and Kaz hadn't mentioned the possibility of future updates with premiums yet. Part of the prize however IS an appearance in GT. That just leaves the question of which GT it will be. Not much info on that though.
Kaz's statement was quoted elsewhere at the time. I believe it was said to the press at SEMA at some point.

EDIT: Just realized i just missread crossup, and repeated most of his post. Adding where I remember the statement from......
