Hello, I'm Tony D from Michigan and looking forward to getting 2 cockpits for my daughter and I to play racing games. Don't know if I'm going to go with a Playseat or Obutto. I just learned about these setups last week. I was buying 2 dedicated Daytona USA Twin racing games, when a gentlemen told me to go the PS3 route instead of the 4 dedicated tracks on the coin-op game. Can't wait to see and play all the different games, but will take a couple weeks to get set up. Any recommendations on cockpits? Playseats look better than Obutto, but the pricing seems better on the Obutto. Thanks a bunch.

Oooh. I'd like a Daytona Twin very much please. I use my racing rig to play Daytona USA on my PC all the time. It's very good, but not perfect.

Anyways, get an Obutto or two. Playseats are okay, surely they beat nothing, but the Obutto is an all around better unit, and if you factor in the cost of the monitor stand and shifter mount, cheaper. What kind of racing wheel will you be getting?

I home built my Rig :) From my initial research, the Obutto seems to be the superior product overall, however being in Australia the shipping was double the cost of the rig itself  Anyway, may I ask what wheels you are going to be mounting to the rigs?

I'm going to get two G27's and then mount a 42 or 50" from the ceiling or just pedestal mount so that it's eye level. It's 2 bad you have to buy 2 ps3's in order to have your own veiwing/TV screen....way too much cost....so I'm going the split the screen route. We'll be 5-8 feet from the screen so I assume that should be fine. Sydney AU..is a Great place. Would love to live there and get out of the States. I have some good friends in Melbourne and Adelaide. Cheers Mate.

I'm getting 2 G27's. I was hoping to have 2 tv monitors like the daytona's where each person watches a screen, but learned the only way is to LAN them and get 2 copies of each game and 2 PS3's. They told me to get one big screen and split the screen. My setup will be 5-8 feet away from the screen, so I imagine a 42"...I don't know if going bigger i.e 50 would be too big.

Sydney's a great place, I have friends in Melbourne and Adelaide. Would love to move there. Thanks guys.

If you're buying 2 G27's, and 2 Obuttos, get each their own monitor... you're going this far already, so springing for the extra PS3 and game isn't too much more, and you never have as good an experience with the split screen. Plus think how cool it's going to be to go fender to fender in Nascar 2011! 👍

Anyways, a decent 36 to 42 inch should do you.

I agree, if it's 2 cockpits you'll want 2 screens and you could buy a couple of 24" monitors for the price of a 42 inch tv.

Just for clarification. How does hooking up 2 PS3's work? Is it done wireless?
I assume I need to get 2 of the same game in order to play head to head? Just checked Craigslist and I could get 2 used slim ps3's for the price of a new one. Lastly, is there any way on Obutto to conceal the wires so they're not all over the place.....Cleaner the better as my wife would like it.

Does it matter the Gig size of the PS3 when playing head to head racing games. I'm not going to download any type of movies on the PS3, just gaming fun!

The only way to utilize separate displays would be through online multiplayer i.e. both consoles would need to be connected to the internet.
