G25 clutch not working

Sorry if this has been posted before, I done a search and couldn't find the answer.

Anyway, I got my (used) G25 delivered today, all works well except the clutch, even on the H-shifter I have to imagine I'm using the clutch, is that the way it supposed to be as is it actually functional?

And this is on GT5 Prologue, not the demo as I know its permanently disabled in the demo.

Any help greatly appreciated

Did you press triangle button after race starts (top button from the "diamond" button group on g25.)

Yea thats what I done, do I have to do that every time?

Just searched this and was pleasently surprised to find the answer. However, I am a bit discouraged that there is no permanent resolution for this problem. Oh well, at least I am not "imagining" the clutch any more.
