my G25 shifter has not been working properly can someone help? What its doing is when in H pattern when I go to 2nd gear it either wont stay in gear and just rev or it will go into 5th. And now my sequential is acting up (was working fine) when I shift up or down it goes up 2 gears and down 2 gears and its making m mad cause Its the only wheel I have and I wont play gt5 without one (a good one). Can someone tell me if there is a way to fix it or is it toast?

and i hear people talking about warranties for the g25 I bought mine at best buy and they never said a thing about a warranty so i take it I dont have one

First of all, use the edit button at the bottom of your posts. Second of all, is this only in GT5 or in other games too? Also, how long ago did you purchase your G25?

If it goes into neutral when you shift into 2nd, that could indicate improper clutch work. Often times withe the way GT5 sets it's clutch up, you will miss gears. This happens most of all in 2nd and 3rd. With the sequential, it could be that the spring is wearing out, causing it to shift twice. I know my Fanatec sequential does this at times, just because I'm shifting hard, it'll bounce back. Also, check to see if the shifter cable is fully plugged in, that could cause some of this.

Guess I dont know about the G25, but it's probably similar.

With my G27, it is VERY finicky with how you shift. It's super damn annoying and needs to be fixed, but if you shift a little slower you should be alright. Drifting for me is easier with the h-shifter, but this bug makes it annoying at times and is simply unacceptable.

PD, fix this!!!!!!!!!

Its not my clutch or the way I drive. Ive used my G25 for 2.5 years now and never had it not go into gear. All of these problems just started happening. Im gonna take it apart tomorrow to see if I can find any defects within the shifter. Oh and I only use my wheel on three games GT5, NFS Shift 2, and Dirt 3 and it does it with all three games.

Call logitech. I sold mine to a friend after having it for almost 2 years. He had it for 6 months and it stopped working. They ended up shipping him a G27 for around 100$ or they would replace his G25. You might have to call back a few times to get the right person on the phone, but they can replace it whenever they want if you get a nice customer support agent.

So i will atleast try to attempt to dismantle mine to see if there is something I can do fix, or clean, however im not good with electrical
