I use a Logitech G25 wheel, gears and pedals. I love the wheel and don't want to change because I can play Gran Turismo 3, 4, 5 and 6, plus Project CARS with it simply by plugging the USB cable into my PS2, PS3 or PC. No fuss at all.
Alas, the wheel is so damned noisy. So much so that I have to switch to controller for rally events, and am reluctant to drive on Le Sarthe at all because at high speeds on Mulsanne the wheel rattles like crazy (and this is 10-fold for rally events).
Is there any way to dampen the noise? I have a custom built racing set-up in my man cave; wall mounted 42in plasma TV, custom platform for my racing seat, wheel and gears clamped onto a long bench where all my monitors and what not sit. It's just being spoiled by this unbearable noise.
I'll admit that if it were just me I would carry on regardless, but it's driving my wife insane
I tried a Thrustmaster T500 Ferrari wheel which was a breath of fresh air as it was so smooth and quiet, but sadly Gran Turismo 4 was out the window. And after a while the accelerator pedal was making this infuriatingly loud *click!* every time it was depressed so I had to switch back.
