g25 mod for car dash

so I picked up a dash at a good price I think ($30), my first problem is that the steering wheel opening is a little narrow, so I am wondering if it is safe to run my wheel without the top cover, the exposed area I am hoping to be underneath the dash.

Don't know if its safe, but it will run I think, but you will void your warranty.

It will run. Just make sure you have a way to cool it.

G25 can survive years with standard covers and it was designed without cooling /exhaust fan.

It will be nice if you could post some pics of the development

I will strip down the cover and give it a go, as for the pics, my rig is alway a mess but and in some cramp quarters, but I will give it a go. pics to follow, or should I start a new thread with the pics?

Just beware. Without cooling it will heat up pretty quickly and lose ffb power. A small fan blowing into it does wonders aswell.

by all means please do not take this the wrong way, but did the g25 have a cooling process inside it? I was under the impression it had no fans inside

None at all sadly. I meant a small fan you can buy at the store for a few dollars.

noted will do the fan thing, all ready have one in mind that I have around the house. I just hope removing the cover will give me enough clearance.
