I picked up a car dash to add to my DIY cockpit, so I will be doing some more updates on it. Can I take the top cover off of the wheel base to allow for room for the wheel to sit in the steering wheel opening of the dash (opening is 8.5 inches wide, I believe with the top cover off and the base hard mounted it should fit without having to make the opening bigger.
