G25 Problem with GT5P

Okay, i've had this wheel for a while. When playing GT5 online the wheel randomly looses power and my car wont turn!! I looked on the Shifter and the power light blinks. This has happened about 5times. I was wondering if anyone else has the problem, or is my wheel at fault.

I've never experienced this. Sounds like it might be a problem with a connection. The light normally blinks (& the wheel rotates) when the game, or the PS3 is turned on & off.

It doesnt happen every race, maybe once every 20races. As for connections, i use a USB extension, and my USB ports on the PS3 are quite dusty.

I mean the "internal" G25 connections.
 
Have you tried playing games on the PC to look if it does the same there?
 
It only happens on GT5. I play on F1CE and thats okay(although i have no FFB on).

It's not a problem, just now and then the wheel cuts out and turns itself and i was wondering if its only me with the problem. Cause then i know there is something wrong my end and i can test things to find whats wrong.:dopey:

I'm going to suggest that you have a power problem... not USB. Here's why..

It works in the other game with FFB off.. the two motors in the wheel are what need more power than anything else. When your playing GT5 with FFB the wheel is drawing more power... the motors are using so much power that its causing the wheel to shut down for a quick second or reset.

I would check to see if your power cable is secure... or maybe a power wire came loose inside the G25 itself?

I would check those first... could be many other things though.
