G25 + PS2 + GT4 Manual Shift Not Working

Just got a G25 and loving it, but when I set up for manual shift, neither the paddles nor the lever will 'do anything' - still auto shifts... Am I missing something here ? Is there something else I need to set ?

Well first of, the Gated H shifter + clutch is not compatible with GT4 I believe. But the paddles should work. Try plugging in your when BEFORE you turn on ur ps2 and see what happens.
 
Thanks for feedback. I realize the clutch/6-speed won't work with GT4 - was referring to the sequential lever mode (and paddles) not working. I normally have the G25 all plugged in and just flick on the PS2. G25 goes through calibration etc just fine.
 
Problem Solved... If I switch to manual mode when first get into game after flip PS2 on, it works great. Not sure what was happening before...
 
do nfs prostreet and txrd2 work on g25 too?
