I know the G25 topic has been butchered so I added a new dimension to it, and even a plot! (what the hell is he talking about??) Good question-

I found the G25 for a good price and free fedex shipping for 249.95 total! But I also found the Thrustmaster Rallye GT Pro "clutch pedal edition" for maybe 100 less than the G25. Depending on your style of pc driving, you opinion can differ, so I ask some questions instead:

Does the quality of the G25 override the fact that the Thrustmaster is cheaper or does the Thrustmaster "clutch edition" warrant a buy because the G25 is too expensive?

Not having used the RGT Clutch Edition but having about an hour or so to fiddle with the G25, it appears that the RGT Clutch Edition is more of a combination of the original Driving Force and DFP than the G25. The shift mechanism is more simplistic, the wheel turns to only 270 degrees and it doesn't look like it will work with the PS2. I have to say no, the RGT isn't a match for the G25. It seems like it competes more with the DFP than anything else. If it is under $170, it is worth the money. Otherwise, pass over it. The DFP is too cheap to make it worth the money without 900 degree turning.

The G25 build quality is stellar. I used it at Fry's and I was blown away. The use of metal and rubber is jaw-dropping. If I had the money, I would certainly pick one of these up, but I am a poor college student again...

g25 has two motors as well as 900degrees max and sequential/gated shifter and paddles.

yeah it works, but i'd reccomend using 540degrees instead :p with steering lock set to 18 or more in car setup maybe.

I haven't officially decided to buy the G25 yet, I still have the MOMO wheel in mind, since games don't really NEED the clutch (I could always rig one) but what I'm more concerned about with the G25 is its special 2 way shifter, which doesn't seem it'll last long, and I thought the momo's sequential only would hold up to abuse. How is this assumption?

Dude.If you're going for MOMO(black),I'd advise you to run away from it.Compared to DFP and G25,the build quality and drive feel is poor.
I know, because I have MOMO racing force(black) and DFP-although DFP has a less quality feel,it's actually better built-my MOMO cracked just 2 weeks after some(although rather extensive) abuse. And my DFP is not getting spared,If you know what I mean. And its going strong for 6 months already.

Also, the MOMO seemed really loose since the day one, which irritated the hell of me.This might be just me,and just my experience, and of course, that doesn't mean it will happen to you,but....

I don't think it's going to crack...I've heard it's a very good wheel and a trusted one. It also has a very important trait, good strong force feedback, so even though G25 has 2 motors, the MOMO will still get the point across.

I think If I have any more doubts about this I'll have race driver withdrawal. I've spent too long without racing...i'm freakin out man, i'm gettin hives, and I can't stop scratching, I've got a need.

But still,if you arent going to get the G25,I'd rather go for the DFP. Works on pc, you can adjust lock to anything you want practically (i.e,you can have a say,333 degrees of lock if you want to),better feedback than momo, doesn't seem as loose ect.

Also, revision b of DFP pedals is better than MOMO's pedals(momo and old revision a dfp had practically same pedals)-MOMO pedals WILL start spiking very soon upon purchase. With DFP it's less likely to happen(with revisionB pedals, that is.Rev B has been in sale for more than a year). And I am very suprised that logitech didn't give the revision B to Momo, too.

I'll keep an eye out for it, what I know is the throttle can get messed up on momo pedals but it's fixable, through the software, I believe. Plus I like how it looks.

My advantage:
I've also read that MOMO black has preset force feedback settings to many games and DFP takes some customizing.

Your advantage: A Maximum Rotation of 900 degrees

My reason: I previously used the Driving Force EX with 180 degrees, and the MOMO black has a bit more than that. Now I'm very happy.
