G25 wheel rotation lock?

Hello.

I havent played GT5 in a while and when I logged on today and looked in the options, I noticed that they added G25 there and I was wondering if its possible to lock the wheel rotation somehow now? I dont like the full 900 degree rotation. I think other wheels have had this option since the beginning, I believe you need to press a combination of keys when you start the race or something like that.

Appreciate any help with this, I did search for G25 +keywords but didnt find anything.
 
in the logitech profiler there is a rotation option. set desired degrees, uncheck, use game settings box, and this might change the rotation. it wont change the lock points but might makr the wheel much more sensitive.
 
Wait, I'm confused. Are you talking about the in-game (GT5) settings for the wheels? If so, there is no option to change the degree of rotation.

I think you're talking about the profiler on PCs.
 
yeah, plug my g27 into my computer. up the feedback than plug the wheel into the ps3. at 125% on the profiler and 100 on gt settings the feedback is scary.

Hum, I don't even think the Profiler (on PC) has any incidence on G25/27 settings on PS3...

When using the Profiler, it isn't the wheel you configure, but the software between your wheel and your game.

So, setting the FFB on PC won't have any effect on PS3...

(or maybe I didn't understand anything you said :nervous: )

Damnit... drifting with 900 degree rotation is pain.. I just cant do it :/

I never tried it, but what happens if you change the setting "Pad sensibility" in the pre-races aids ?

(As I don't have an english UI, I don't know the exact setting's name, but it is the last one where you choose driving helps)
 
anybody want to buy a new g27?👎 i think i'll just stay with my 7yr old 200 deg wheel. that old wheel sure look funny on this playseat but it did get me to level 40a&b

No options to change the steering lock on GT5 sorry. But some games like Need for Speed have an option to change steering lock and deadzones just like a PC profiler.
