G25 Wheelstand compatible with G29?

So, i have a G25 together with an wheelstand from wheelstandpro since the GT5 release. Now, since the G25 isnt compatible with PS4 im thinking about getting the G29. on the wheelstandpro website there is the current logiotech wheelstand that is compatible with g25, 27 and 29.
However, it sais

i dont know what DELUXE V2 stands for and im not sure if that is the one i have. Did the company at some point replace their original wheelstand for logitech wheels with a new one? Or will my wheelstand be compatible with the g29? Anyone got some expertise on this? Its also the only g25 wheelstand to be found on the website so i cant check if there was a predecessor at some point..

They did. The main difference is that it's much sturdier and that the wheel and the shifter plate are now bolted instead of clamped. I'm quite sure your G29 will fit if you simply use the clamps. Of course you could always drop wheelstandpro.com a mail and ask.
 
thanks. so other then improvements there is no difference in general layout. I was worried they did change the plate or the pedal area so that the g29 wouldnt fit on the old one.

I would contact them if I would know exactly what wheelstand i have :D
Afaik nowhere on the product is a written name or even a serial number or anything? And it just came in a uprinted cardboard box...

But i might just contact them and see what they can tell me.
 
ok, i got an answer. after a whole slew of nothing where they said that their current g25 wheelstand is compatible with the g29 I asked again about the original model, to which they replied "It is the same stand.".
Shortly after they asked if i could provide a picture to make sure. Im not at home, but i will send them one later.
 
I owned a V1 and still own a V2. They're definitely not 100% identical (why would there be a V1 and a V2 then ;)), but like I said, the differences are mostly improvements and no structural changes. I think you'll be fine. :)

"The new G29 will be fully compatible with this model you own."

Great. Ive allready ordered the g29, should be arriving this week (ordered from the UK to germany)
