G27 acting up during start up

When I turn on my PS3 with my G27 plugged in it does its normal routine of turning in each direction with no problems. Then I load up GT5 from the dashboard and it begins to do it a second time but slightly different. This time around it begins to turn but stops for a split second and then proceeds on turning. The duration of the wheel when its stops turning is less than a second and I was wondering if anyone else experiences this. It happens every time I load the game.
 
Yeah I think that's normal it does it's little dance whenever I load the game as well, although a bit more twitchy than normal.
 
Does it still work ok in gameplay? If it does I wouldn't worry about it to be honest.
 
The wheel works fine in gameplay. I was mainly curious to see if this was an isolated incident or if other people with that wheel experience this too. It looks like its a normal thing though. :)
