Are any other G27 users having this problem? I don't know if just noticed this now but when im driving I notice my tail lights are flickering and the brake throttle is flickering as well.
It's starting to get annoying because it slows me down significantly on the straights.

I'm not sure if it's my actual pedals or the game.

Go to Radio Shack and pick up some "Control Contact Cleaner and Lubricant", open your G27 pedals and spray that into the brake potentiometer then press the brakes down a few times, I had the same problem and that cleared it up, good as new.

Had same issue with my g25.

It's the pot wearing, cleaning it will stop this temporally but you probably need to get a new pot.

They are not expensive, few £'s from thesimshop.com

In the meantime if you don't use the clutch swap the pots on that to the brake. There are instructions on above site.

The pot will last a while. I've been using my G25 since early 2008- almost daily use for two years except last year (when it went into storage for summer/fall) and although I've had the same problem after about 6 months after purchase, a simple contact cleaning, dusting off the area around the pedal and checking to make sure all the cables/connectors fit snugly fixed the problem and I've had no problem since.

I had the same issue approx 2 weeks ago. I opened the pedal box up and the amount of s **t that came out was beyond belief (dust, crumbs, hair, alsorts) I'm thinking that all the crap was getting stuck between the teeth on the gears. I blew all the crap out with an airgun and its not been an issue since. Took approx 30 mins from start to finish.

HOLY S...! I have had this problem since forever! I have always wondered what I could do about it. This is great!!!!

Don't get your hopes up too soon! :trouble:

I had this problem with a DFP and then with the G25. My G25 pedals are not in the plastic box, they are inverted and dust accumulation is not really an issue.

My brake was sticking slightly on too. I too was so happy to hear (in another thread) that you only need a proper electrical contact cleaner. I went and bought some and used it liberally. It made no difference whatsoever

In the end I got another hardly used G25 second-hand and swapped in the complete brake pedal. I also noticed that the pot on the first pedal was really loose – it moved slightly with the pedal – not very convincing design.

I've not finished my G27 rig yet, but am depressed to hear that this is still a weak point of the design.
