I have had the wheel for about a week now and this afternoon I was playing arcade mode using one of my 458's and I noticed that the brake light started randomly flicking on and off, I looked at the hud and the brake bar was coming up slightly every time as well, it was very slight so I couldn't feel any noticable effect but it's still a bit of a worry....
Anyone else had this problem???

I haven't had this problem but, what you are describing happened to me with the accelerator it was showing about 10% throttle when I wasn't touching it.

The fix? I unplugged my wheel from the wall and ps3 and the throttle went back to zero. Hope this helps.

i had that happen to the brakes a couple of times. Turns out my regular ps3 controller brake was slightly pressed in as it lay on my sofa. took me a couple of minutes to figure out what it was.

hopefully ur prob is just as trivial. would hate to have the pedals develop problems.

That was actually the first thing I checked to make sure the controller wasn't interfering but that was not the case. Yeah I hope nothing is wrong with it being 1 week old.

trk29 thanks I actually have turned it off at the wall and unplugged it from the PS3 so I'll see if this has had any effect when I turn it back on later tonight.

Well I still have the same problem after unplugging/plugging back in, should I just take the thing back for an exchange?

I also have this problem, no idea how to fix it either. Very annoying, but I can't tell whether it's a GT5 glitch or a wheel problem as it does not occur with any other games I play. There is no sensitivity adjustment for this either...

I've had the same problem with my G25. I took the whole thing apart, removed all the dust that was packed inside, et voilà, problem solved :)
Hope this helps 👍

I've actually discovered the source of the problem - it's the potentiometer (the "pot"). There is about half a degree of "play" where the pot is located next to the pedal inside the casing. You just have to open the pedal box and rotate the "pot" backwards gently.

Been driving me nuts, but 20 minutes and the problem is fixed.

👍

Hey guys, I had it solved by blowing the dust out. No need to open or remove anything. Then my brake problem was solved.

Hope this help. Cheers

Yes i had the same problem with my gas pedal on g27. It would not go full throttle sometimes. Just flicker. So i pulled the cover off the pedals, cleaned it all and rotated the potentiometer or "pot" a bit and it went away completely. They do have a bit of play in the mount. Dust will do it to so even use an aerasol keyboard cleaner.

But if its a week old just return it.

I had exactly the same problem, did exactly as you said, worked for me 👍
