G27 clunking in GT5??

So, I have to wait till christmas to play GT5 and use my G27:crazy::grumpy:.


I know the G27 can be loud on some games, like dirt 2, and other rally games.

I was curious. How is the G27 as far as clunking, feedback, and sound in GT5??

I've found the feedback really nice, it's as nice to use as the G25, and the clunking is really evident on dirt/rally stages. Very loud.

EDIT: Simulation setting, FFB 2 👍

Ditto. Only on dirt tracks / rally stages does the excessive clunking occur. But then it does depend on which wheel mode you are set in and the amount of ff set too.
 
Hey, thanks for the quick replies. Love this site for that. Anyways, appreciate your inputs.

The clunking is not damaging the wheel is it? Im not to savvy about the internals. And I don't really care about noise, as long as the product is long lasting.
 
I notice some clunking when losing traction on a kart too. FFB is at 10.
 
Thanks HN7. I was wondering if I got the right wheel or not with this clunking. But guess it's just a sound and I should not worry about it.

You think it's bad now, try playing Dirt 2 with the G27 and the clunky sound will be louder than your TV :lol:
But no worry, it's normal. I played Dirt 2 since it came out and my wheel still function like the first time I used it.
