I am looking to get back into the GT series and have thought about buying a G27 (sold mine a couple years ago). The main reason I would look at the G27 as opposed to the DFGT is the ability to manually shift using the clutch and shifter. I am curious if GT6 has been improved over GT5 in regards to the operation of the clutch. I did numerous searches and found complaints back in 2013 and 2014 that the problem of "missing a shift" was still prevalent. I couldn't find anything more recent.

It's still troublesome.

Quick question, but would you consider a newer wheel, one that is supported by a newer console? You're limiting yourself to a small library of racing games by buying an old wheel like the G27. Unless you're playing on PC which won't matter.

Same as GT5, sadly. It's pretty much 100% clutch 0% gas when you have to change gears which leads to those missed shifts like you found in your search.
