G27 Clutch Question

Ok. I have gotten a G27 finally for Christmas. I am really loving it. So glad to put the DFGT in the box.

This new wheel has really made GT5 brand new again. I love GT5 too. But without a wheel it is pointless. I have even done the GT5 A-Spec seven times on seven different accounts all gold with no cheating (yes even endurance races. My current record is about 25.7 hours straight through with the DFGT)

Anyway (sorry for the rambling haha just loving it) i love having the G27's capabilities and not being deaf after using it hahaha. But i do have one question... Is there anyway of changing the place of which the clutch engages or slips in on GT5?

I now i can hook it up to my PC and run the software and adjust some other things but is there a way to change this? Or buy a mod (hardware as in parts)?

No big deal either way just wanting to figure this out.

You can by taking the clutch pedal apart and moving the gears up one but you clutch randomly slips some times and is a big hassle so i just forgot about it lol PD should really work on that
Also there is no mods you can do its just the game. if you can try LFS one day the clutch if outstanding on there

But i want to see if there is any other way before doing that. If i have to do that i won't do it

there is not, I have looked and looked the only way to do this is probably hack GT and fix it yourself lol

Hahahaha yeah. Well if no one replies soon if there is a way to do it through the computer software that comes with it I will just have the thread closed.

I am not wanting to void my warranty like what Daniel has done just so I can do it. Not that big of a deal to me

Yeah in gt5 there is no point in running the clutch, it is a truly horrid simulation of a clutch. To be honest the clutch is more of a hindrance than an advantage in GT5. Live for Speed on the other hand now that is a great clutch, just wish GT5 had it. You are better off just sequential shifting with your G27 shifter. You can use the G27 shifter as a sequential after shifting with a paddle shifter, you can then switch back to clutch mode by depressing the clutch. 👍👍

Well i am used to my homie's dogbox gearbox in his cars (pretty much all of them he has and i used to use them a lot) so i mean i am not used to a clutch except on take off and down shifting (which I have no problem doing). I was basically trying to see if i could maybe move it to be say instead of being 3/4th - all the way down to be 1/4th to 1/2 way down.
Just if i can't do that then it is no big deal.

Just seeing what all I can do. I love it either way. GT5 is a brand new game either way. I think i might start my 8th GT5 account and A-Spec career. But the AIs are crap so i will probably have to download tune stock cars.
