G27 double upshifting malfunction

I've been playing GT6 lately and my G27 started upshifting twice now and then. It happens maybe once every 12 upshifts and as you imagine it starts to get annoying pretty quickly.

From what I could observe, when it occurs, it is registering a button click when I release the paddle.

I just wanted to know if it already happened to someone and if someone knows how to fix it.

You could try cleaning the switch. Take off the wheel by removing the six screws and carefully remove the two connectors. Then remove the green circuit board by removing all the screws you see. The paddle switches are on the back of this board

OK, thank you for the reply. The problem seems to have diminished since I posted. But I will try cleaning when I have the time.
