G27 driver detection issue (fixed)

My G27 was working perfectly last week, now it won't operate.
The wheel does the start up spin and has the green light on.
The profiler doesn't even recognize it but windows troubleshooting says this;

has anyone had the unfortunate experience of this before?


I've already posted this in the iracing hardware forum but any help I can get is much appreciated.

As it turned out the problem fixed itself when I restarted my computer
