I'm not sure where to post this, went to games> other and got 'forum is not accepting new posts' or something. I didn't want to post in a specific games section....

Hi, the only racing game I own for my ps3/g27 is gt5. Could you please recommend a game for my g27(no gamepad please) on the ps3(no pc please)

I noticed a video by tom something from inside sim racing tweaking the g27 settings on nfs2. Does that eliminate the lag? Can't be dealing with lag unless it's just a visual thing with just the wheel in interior view, I prefer to drive bumper view anyway.

dirt 2/3? Are there any older games worth looking at? Wrc? I really love using the clutch and manual gear levers on gt5.

Ferrari challenge is a good one. It's got some pretty good force feedback, and physics. It's arguably better then GT5 in the physics and force feedback department.

Dirt 1 is also really good to see what the wheel can do. I didn't care for the other 2 dirt games.

The shift series isn't bad either. Some hate it, but it does actually support the shifter of the G27. I never noticed the lag at all in the first shift game, but the second didn't feel right for some reason.

If you have an old PS3 that is backward compatible, then you could give TOCA race driver a shot. It was probably the best PS2 racing game made.

Dirt 3 and F1 2011 aren't simulators but they feel sort of authentic, if you know what I mean? Dirt 3 is quite exciting, but I haven't played enough F1 to have an opinion on it. Shift is also quite fun, if not that great. I've only played the first. Grid is... Meh.

Personally I didn't like Ferrari Challenge, it felt like it was somehow scripted to make you feel like it was a sim, I never felt like it was actually simulating anything. It's hard to describe, but it's how I felt. Supercar Challenge is probably the same.

I don't think you'll find a better sim than GT5, at least not until Project CARS is out. I know you said no PC but if you have even a halfway decent PC you can run Grand Prix Legends, Richard Burns Rally, GTR2, GT Legends and possibly Race 07 and rFactor, all of which are great and not expensive, either... I just got a G27 myself so I'm buying basically every sim I can find!
