G27 green vs black box

I am thinking to get a G27 so I can pass my G25 to my brother, and while browsing prices I noticed the G27 comes in a green box (like the G25) or a black one.

I did some googling and the only thing I could find that's different between the green and black box versions is that the optical encoder seems to have less holes on the black box version, doesn't sound like an improvement but since the black box version is the most updated, I am not sure.

So, if you had to choose, would you buy the green or the black box version and why?

The black box's 30-slot encoder is a redesign isn't an upgrade, one isn't better than the other, it's either a cost-saving measure (since I assume it's easier to manufacture the one with fewer slots) or a reliability thing (fewer slots in the same sized wheel should mean there's more plastic holding the thing together, right?). The microcontroller will have been reprogrammed to count half the number of pulses per rotation, I would be astonished if any human being could notice the difference (if there even is one) when actually playing.

In short, it doesn't matter, I'd buy whatever has the better warranty. If they're the same, I'd buy the cheaper one.
