I am having an issue with shifting on my g27. I searched the forums and came across one thread that said that this issue was resolved in 2.01 or so. I haven't played in a while but my game did 4 different updates yesterday. The issue is that my H shifter gears are off by one. If I push in the clutch and shift to 1st I see 1st on the gear display. When I push the clutch and shift to 2nd I that on the display until I release the clutch and it shows first and acts like first. 3rd becomes 2nd and 4th is 3rd. If I push the clutch in I always see the correct gear until it is released. I also seem to have no neutral. I did select the G27 in the controller settings.

Thanks for the help. I would even be happy for a link to a thread with the answer.

:p I'm not to sure what to say to help you, how ever, check that you don't switch between paddle shifting and H pattern at the same time. Mine works just fine but I don't know what's wrong with yours.

Have you tried it on a different game? You should also check to see if it's working properly by plugging it into your PC. If it does work properly, then it's likely to be a problem with your game. If so, delete your GAME DATA (you will lose photos, tracks), and then reinstall your game. For safety, I'd back up the GAME DATA and the SAVE DATA to make sure that even if something goes wrong, you'll have a backup.

Make sure all the wires are connected properly. Mine slips every now and then. Either that or your wheel is messed up.

I only recently started playing GT5 again but I mostly used it on a PC for rFactor. The wheel is still under warranty so I can turn it back if need be. I will try it again on the PC to make sure and then I will try my game data stuff. Did I see there was an updating adding the ability to backup this data? Where is that located?

Also my G27 sometime do some weird stuff before one hour maybe the H pattern choose a gear i never wanted or put it in, and the thing that is killing me is i want to shift so quickly lets say from 1st to 2nd i remove my foot from the clutch the gear keeps it at H for no reason.

When you say H I am assuming you mean N. That is a known issue that the game doesn't let you shift quickly if you let the clutch out too soon.

It's fixed. The issue must have been a bad connection in the peripherals. I unplugged everything and plugged everything back in and it worked. My DS3 also doesn't act weird in the game. I wasn't able to use the directional pad to navigate. Must have interfered with that also. Thanks for the help guys. Back to racing!

Also always be sure to periodically check your connector on the bottom of the wheel where your shifter plugs in. Something similar had happened to me.

EDIT: Treed

I have a Modded G25 and mine works fine, Possibly a hardware issue?
