G27 Off-centre Steering

Hi guys

I'm having problems with my 10-month old Logitech G27 steering wheel. When I boot-up my PS3 with the steering wheel already connected, it calibrates and the off-centres to the right. Plug in GT5, calibrates and off-centres to the left. This problem started yesterday (27.10.11).

Below I've included pictures driving two cars, first is the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 TC (notice the right off-centre) and the Suzuki OFC-1 Concept '07 (left off-centre)

Anyone know what might be causing this and how I can fix it?
 
I have this occurring in my Fanatec GT2. Idk, if it is the SAME issue, but for me it is the code-wheel sensor that is off and not reading properly. It is terrible for iracing, fm4 & GT5. The ONLY type of racing I can somewhat compete on in ovals due to being able to only steer 1 direction in a zone I feel comfortable with.

Fanatec is sending me one to do myself, but I literally have to tear the wheel down, part by part to replace a minute chip. Aggravating, believe you and me.........

Thanks man, but I'm completely clueless when it comes to electronics stuff. I do think something is not working properly on the inside, probably a similar sensor.
 
I am on the same not there, not too tech inclined on repairs. BUT, I might give this a shot, but my pedals just went on me too. Ugh..........

The sensor in the back of the motor is a bit loose. There are two Philips head screws that need tightening. That's all.

While your add it just check all the screws for good measure.
 
In game the wheel is fine though is it mate.?

Your not holding to the left or right to steer straight are you?

I played rally mode on GT5 once with my G27, never again. Shook the arse off it.
 
Get, I have to hold my wheel like you see in the top picture to go straight most of the time. Even after calibrating the center, over and over, and over, etc....... Been like this for MONTHS.

I feel the Fanatec curse is round the corner.

How have managed with it for that length of time?

I can ONLY manage it on ovals. Road courses are a NIGHTMARE. Even on ovals, it is a challenge. BUT, I can still maintain course quite well unless being raced hard.

Hence my extreme frustrations, but, I am trying to be adult about it. You don't want the old AGP to come out. I can become the next Joe Pesci and get my way if need be, but want to give Fanatec the opportunity to make this all just go away before I slam the door on their hands.......

No, its not fine.
I have to hold it, but I figured to stop before I damage it more:sick:

This will be a major job taking apart my racing seat, cables and all,but I will still try
 
Question: How do you remove the sensor from the back of the motor?
