G27 or Thrustmaster T500RS?

The reason why I am asking this question is I would like to get your personal experiences. I bought a G27 (used the GT up to now) and brought it home just to find out that it wasnt fully supported in GT5 with programmable buttons so I brought it back and asked them to get me a Thrustmaster T500RS instead (still waiting for their reply).
What I now found out is that on the T500 the paddles are fixed instead of following the wheel and I am not sure but I see that as a disadvantage really.
So I would like to know your opinions about this fact. Is it really a problem or is it working anyway?
If you have tried both wheels - which one do you prefer from a steering/pedal point-of-view?
Should I stay with the G27 (I just loved the feeling) and skip the fact that the buttons are on the side? For example there are no reverse on the wheel and I will use paddles for shifting gears and not the separate shifter module. It might come a future update to GT5 including G27 support but.....
 
G27 is just fine. Those unprogrammable buttons don't bother me, would be nice to have em work.

The thrust master doesn't come with the h shifter so that sucks.

The paddles on the G27 can be confusing when changing gears while turning. I haven't tried the thrust master yet, but I do think it would be better to have them fixed, since you won't have to guess which side is which. With time you do develop a "feel" for which side is up n down on the g27

The g27 is awesome though, I love mine.
 
Thanks for that Stormbringer. The feeling I got from G27 was just awesome and you really feel the difference after turning it back and again using the GT :grumpy: Havent tried the T500 so I have nothing to compare with.
I didnt have any problem with up and down really while turning as it is still right and left hand 💡
 
Left right hand works until you have to turn the steering more than 360 degrees. I'm not saying it's a huge problem, but it can get confusing occasionally.
 
I`ve had both Logitech wheels (G25 & G27) they were outstanding wheels for the price... Solid with H-shifter but most importantly fun...! Recently i purchased a Thrustmaster T500rs, no H-shifter yet (to be released later in the year) but to be blunt it makes the Logitechs look like toys... really they shouldn`t be compared....
 
I have had only very limited experience on the G27. However I did get to play around with a T500RS for an extended time and I dont think the paddle shifters not moving with the wheel is a problem at all. You very quickly get used to the fixed position.
There were a couple of instances where reaching to the paddle shift whilst the wheel was turned were an issue but they were very rare.
And the wheel itself is an absolute dream. Granted this is coming from somebody that uses a DFGT so obviously it's a massive upgrade......but the T500RS just absolutely blew me away ;)
