G27 Pedals loose calibration during race

I'm having a weird issue in GT5 with my new G27 wheel & pedals.

Randomly (and I mean randomly, I can't find a pattern) the pedals will simply max out at around 25%. I'll be going along at full throttle and with the pedal still down, I'm only showing 25% in game, go to the brakes and full pedal only gives 25% there too.

If I unplug from the PS3 and plug it back it, it will recalibrate and all will be fine until it happens again. Anywhere from once a race to once a lap.

Any ideas?
 
Both pedals max out at 25% at the same time when it happens eh? That sounds serious enough to call in for service.
 
Yeah I don't think its the pots - brand new pedals and they work great, except when this glitch hits.

I may have to call logitech, what a PITA that's going to be.

Oops, missed the "new" bit, sorry. :dunce:
 
Turns out the wheel isn't so new. I got it off ebay, small print shows it as "seller refurbished". I'm sending it back, I'm still within my 30 day window.

I tested the pedals by using them with my old G25 - works fine, so there's definitely something defective in the wheel hardware.
