G27 + Playseat Evolution

I have my 18th Bitrhday coming up, so I need a good gift

Atm the plans are, my parents are buying me a Logitech G27 ( Thrustmaster T500 RS GT is to expensive ) together with a Playseat Evolution Alcantara

But, I have a queastion: I play GT5 in my room, but I have a beamer, so my PS3 is around 2-3 metres away from where I sit...
Do I need a Longer USB cable to hook the steering wheel up? Or does it work without cable like some other systems do?

Longer USB it's easy to get though. I think mine was 4 bucks for the extension.

That's a sweet setup. Exactly what I have. Don't forget the shifter mount, you want the one by the seat, not wheel. The one by the wheel is a ripoff

Just bought a Playseat GT Dirt 3 with Gearshift holder and a floormat, together with a G27

Make sure you buy at least a USB 2.0 extenstion cable. I bought a cheap cable on ebay that works for a keyboard but won't work with my wheel. Amazon basic cables are cheap and thats what I use now.
