G27 SHIFTER NEED HELP ASAP

Okay so was trying to do reverse the springs in my g27 shifter lol then closed everything up then found out it doesnt shift except to 1,3,5 ex:2 is also 1 and 4 is also 3
Then the opposite happened when i reopened it 2,4,6 :p so yea i guess i need help...
 
A few years back I took apart my G25 shifter to put in a stronger spring.
Don't know why you would want to reverse the spring, but ok.

Are you sure the small steel ball is in the right place and the two plates on each side of the shifter are placed back correctly.
For neutral ball should be in the middle hole.
