Hi guys,

Just wondering the statistics on g27 users experiencing ffb fade.

Please list:
Type of driving:
FFB setting:
When does it begin to fade and how quick:

Mine was a big issue, until I slapped an ice pack on it every GT sesh.

:)

With my old "green box", the "green box" at work or the new "black box" on a new Human Racing install at one of my race teams.

I keep the FFB settings low, 3 in GT6. I find higher settings saturate at high loads and kick too much at step inputs (i.e. curbing, etc.).

Well, mines around 4 years old with heavy use - drifting since the beginning of GT5 to now. I used FFB 5 for both GT5 and 6. I've been drifting a little less lately to preserve my motors as I'm holding off on buying a new wheel until I know what wheels GT7 will support. I use a G27 BTW.

During drift sessions, I always take a 5 minute break every 45mins (or so) but days where I run constantly, I can go about 3 hours straight without heat or feedback issues (steady free-run except the odd stop to tune/switch car or chat).

During normal races I can go all night but this includes waiting for race start etc., so that keeps temps down.

Loss of feedback is minimal for me, my wheel is kept and used in a cool area so that helps prevent heating up too much.

Yeah I have been noticing ffb settings make a huge difference on how fast the g27 heats up. I never thought my wheel was heating up, but when I put an ice pack on it the wheel felt stronger and faster at almost all times. Give it a shot and see if you notice improvements, I'd say.

I put my ice in my drink and never worry about ffb. Setting is on 4 and take a break every hour, so never really noticed fade.

Nope, never had a fade issue. FFB set to 5, hours of drift, rally, GT5, GT6 or iRacing. Never had a heat issue either.

Long sessions, lots of use, I'm sure there was fade but I never really noticed it. Great wheel.

I usually go online into a free roam room and drive for 4-5 hours. I change cars about every half-hour, other than that its constant driving. FFB is set to 8 or 9 ( I prefer the more-connected-to-the-road feel as my car doesnt have assisted steering ). I never notice FFB fade. One thing to note is mine is fairly new (Dec. 2013) and only gets used every-other week.
