Hi My G27 has suddenly started rocking back and forth very violently after the last update anyone else had this and are they doing something about it? It certainly wasn't doing it before... Cheers :-)

No problems with my G27.

Oh ok hmm... that's a bit weird then...

When you try the GT academy final round and it does shake like it is going to self destruct, and the G27 is fine everywhere else sorry I did not mention it before.

Oh ok thats strange... does anyone know why?

If and when you win the Nismo GT-R LMP go look at the spring settings and compare to other LMPs. You do know the drivetrain layout of this car don't you?

Yeah I do but like hall90 said the wheel is fine on all other cars. I suspect it's a software issue with the car.

I'm not so sure, I think when they fed in the numbers for a 600hp FF LMP that is highly DF dependant, along with the suspension settings they go/went with (wherever they pluck those from) this is what the physics model/engine spat out.

Don't get me wrong, it's the first time I've had to turn down FFB on my wheel. Far more vicious than the RBs (and they've had some physics/FFB revisions).

Which leads me to believe, in normal circumstances, I could've seen PD patch and tone it down by now, but with GTA already in full flow that's a no go.

Maybe at a later date. So not a software issue as such, they just done ****ed up on realising it was too brutal.

Its just another one of PD's fine 🤬 ups. I'm sure that if they had done any kind of proper testing, this wouldn't have been an issue. Unless they did do testing and thought this kind of ffb was acceptable and if that was the case, then they still have a very long ways to go then as far as figuring these types of things out imo. At any rate, feel free to send the bill for your broken wheel to PD when it does break because of this. :sly:

Yeah guys, whatever the reason theyve ballsed it up and it makes it very hard to steer. only time ever in GT this has happened. Weird it happen a lot in some (not all) PC racer all of which are better than GT anyway. The new Project cars is stunning. It just doesn't work for me at the moment!

There is a lot of talk on this in the GT Academy forum under the 4th challenge. Most are setting their wheels to 7/1/1 or 5/1/1 or what you prefer. It will still shake like crazy but at least it's far more drivable. It's happening to all the wheels from all manufacturers. I know some are unplugging the power and just driving with no ffb or responce at all. I tried it and prefer to use the 7/1/1 setting. Good luck.

Personally I love the feeling - it makes the car feel alive! It is however ridiculous for a GT Academy event and if I was trying for a fast time I would turn down the FFB as suggested.

I have indeed turned it down. It's still doing it but not as bad which is as good as it's going to get I suppose...

Glad it's not just me. I have a G25 and i did notice i was really violent in this car. I too turned it down a few notches.

It's especially mad at the mulsanne, but I guess that's always been a really bumpy road.

but other bumpy roads don't do that to the other cars in the game. one can only surmise it's been done to disadvantage owners of logitech wheels... shame. Times are coming down though 230th in the uk. still nowhere near where I need to be!
