Hello i hope you're all well. Please bare with me as i am doing this on behalf of my 11 year old son and I'm an old fart who is not computer literate at all and trying to write this on a mechanical keyboard that keeps flashing and i cannot see the which buttons to press next. Im only 37 but now i feel like a dinosaur........
With that out the way i hope someone or some people could help diagnose an issue with my sons G29 steering wheel for the PS5.

We have just purchased it second hand and the standard wheel also came with a second F1 style wheel as well. The standard wheel calibrates fine and works perfectly on the PS5 with all buttons functioning well etc..
the F1 style wheel however does not. It calibrates as soon as its attached and lights up etc but that's as far as it goes, it just doesn't work, the buttons do absolutely nothing. And beforfe you say it, yes its switched over to the PS4/PS5 side.

I downloaded the GHub onto his PC and plugged the wheels in and the original wheel is recognised and i can check for firmware updates etc and the firmware is up to date.
The F1 style wheel when plugged into the PC again calibrates fine but on the GHub it comes up as 'inactive' and i cant even go into its settings to see if firmware is up to date. Have contacted the sweaty greaseball who sold it to us and have been ghosted but he seems to of forgotten i know where he lives, or should i say "where his mum lives"....
Please could someone help me diagnose this issue as I'm out of ideas and can only think that the circuit board inside the F1 wheel is either faulty or possibly a wire has come loose but i wanted some information from the gaming community before i either open up the wheel to get to the circuit board for a fix or pay our little ghost a pleasant visit and get my money back.
Sorry I've droned on but wanted to try and say everything before people come back saying "have you switched it to ps4" or "have you checked the firmware"

Many thanks

Scott
