Towards the end of 2020, my wheel felt like it was getting loose(er). It's always been a bit dead on center, but I noticed it actually moving around. Last time GR1 came up in the daily's, it got even worse, so I decided to take it apart. There's a nice, big, sealed bearing holding the steering shaft, but it's housed in a cheap, plastic housing. It was cracked, both top and bottom, all the way through. I do have about 190k kilometers on it. Anyway, I decided epoxy would work, and I went into the old race box, and grabbed the wire pliers to safety wire the halves together and hold them while the epoxy dried. It should also help with support. Seems good, and has held up for 3 weeks now. Just thought someone might be interested. Here's what it looked like.
