I just picked up a G920 to replace my G27 since I wanted to also game on my Xbox One X and felt the G920 was actually a slight downgrade. This really hit home when it started squeaking noises as I turned the wheel. I'm torn between sending it back for replacement (even though I already opened up the pedals to try and adjust the brakes). I know down the road I'm going to "mod" this wheel anyway, so I'm thinking I should probably stick with it and just go ahead and open up the wheel and take the opportunity to start modding right away. Basically, doing a full re-grease of the gears and such and oiling of the motors. Then take the opportunity while it is open to do a quick release for the wheel? Possibly move the buttons on the wheel itself to a button box? Not sure. Should I send it in and hold off, or keep and start modding?
