G932 + GT7 Issue

Hey all,

I am having a strange issue, I have upgraded to a PS5, and since making the swap my G923 wheel is not working in GT7.

GT 7 recognises the wheel, all buttons work, including the peddles. But there is no steering input and the force feedback turns off.

I have tried rebooting the console and wheel and changing USB ports and nothing is working.

Before loading the game the wheel calibrates and the force feedback is active, second the game loads the wheel goes limp.

Is anyone else having or had this issue ? Any tips tricks or advice?

Hi there. You need to be using the PS5 version of GT7, rather than the PS4 version.

Don't listen to this guy. I played the PS4 version first before acquiring a PS5, and my G923 worked just fine.

On PS4, yes. On PS5 - no. There's a known issue with running the PS4 version of GT7 on PS5.
 
Wait, you can play the PS4 version on PS5? Why is that even an option??
 
For the same reason you can play PS4 versions of most games on PS5 :-)

Ordinarily there's no issue, but for GT7 there is.
 
I thought the option only exists if the game has no PS5 release in the first place. Learn something new every day, I guess.

I did buy GT7 with the PS5 entitlement though, so I could never have selected the PS4 version by accident. :lol:
