hi all, just introduce myself, my name is Anakin (im not kidding it really is).

anyway, im going onto college in september and i am going to be studying Games development, all aspects, 3D design everything.

I'd like to make games but you need the right frame of mind to make them. I find it a little complicated, but you seem to be confident so good luck for the future. :)

One of my neighbors this past year was in a program to become a game program. He had a wealth of eight hour long labs.

Just don't go to work for EA, they will work you like a dog and pay you next to nothing with lots of overtime. Come to think of it, that is kind of the state of the industry. Everyone wants to be in it, it's kind of glamorous and sounds like loads of fun to people fresh out of school who grew up playing games, so they can do that and if you don't like it, there are a dozen more just like you waiting to take your place. I guess it's better for graphics guys than coders, at least the tasks are more clear cut and the scheduling isn't so crazy. Just be prepared for a lot of 80 hour weeks, and you might think about getting involved in some open-source gaming projects during school, it's good experience and it will help keep your spirit alive later to have something of your own to work on. Sorry about how negative that all sounds, don't mean to rain on your parade. It is a rewarding career but it is also a LOT of hard work!

Hmm, I wonder with no revelance to the aforementioned information, if some kind non-specific future games designer could creat a game based on Emu racing.
