Game not loading after updating to 1.06

I updated to 1.06 on Sat morning, installed it and turned off the system when it was complete. I have been playing other games since when I go to pop in GT5 this afternoon. the Main screen comes up with the GT5 logo and the warning screen, etc and then it just goes to a black screen. I have waited for 10 minutes and still nothing. What do I do? I have tried restarting the game several times.

Any ideas? thank you.
 
Sounds like your update corrupted. Delete from the game data folder and start again... Just make sure you don't delete your save data!!
 
The second from last post in this topic that was already started seems to say his files were found to be "corrupt" which there is a tool/tab under the option menu. Like a "data recovery" tab or something. Good luck. 👍
 
my game has been fine until the last hour or so.. just wont load when i go to view community or got to dealear or any option the brings up the black screen. getting fed up now!
 
Are you sure your disk isn't scratched?
 
i dont have that problem. i have 2 ps3 systems. i use 1 for gt5 to reduce load time and the other for whatever else. so what im trying to say is its never been out the system..

Try loading the game with the internet access disabled on the ps3, sometimes it is a connection issue what freezes the game at that exact screen, it happened to me too. Then try again, at some other time when the connection with GT5 server is ok...

If the game loads without connection enabled, then you know that is the problem, like the one I had. (The GT5 servers gets clogged a lot)
