So I just added this guy who is level 25 and 21.

He has 83% game progress, 49% trophies.

I'm level 29 and 29, but only have 70% progress, with 43% trophies.



So... 6% trophies = 13% more game completion? Apparently my A and B-spec levels do not count towards game completion?
 
I noticed some oddities there too, again, one more part of the game PD totally screwed up and people are still unwilling to admit that this game is nowhere near the quality of other GT's.

What? Because you cant calculate how they figure their completion percentage you think the game is nowhere near the quality of other GTs? How does that even make sense? Did you ever think maybe the one guy finished longer races or more specialty events?

You are just jumping to conclusions and looking for a reason to complain.
 
Have you grinded the same races, whereas he's golded everything from beginner to expert? that might make the difference my % shoots up not by my level but how many golds in events i have. Im level 27 A-Spec completed everything up to extreme, only 1 extreme championship to go and the endurance races i havent unlocked yet and pushing 90% completion.

No. That is one of the MANY things screwed up in this game. And you are one of those: ...people are still unwilling to admit that this game is nowhere near the quality of other GT's.
 
Gotta be honest, what it appears is that you're just complaining for the sake of it. The quality of the game has nothing to do with the OP's question, and to be honest, bringing up your opinion about said quality just makes you seem whiny.

To the OP: It's quite likely that game completion is tied to event completion, rather than A-Spec and B-spec level.

Gotta be honest? I wonder who should be honest here and if you think I am whining, I'm fine with that.
 
I'm 35 and 31 and have 80% of the trophies. All I have left is 1000 cars, full b-spec career, all golds (3 more A-spec and 4 more B-spec) and level 40's. Since most of the trophies in this game are bronze, then silver, gold and platinum make up a large percentage of the rest of them.
 
It is simple.

Completing events with gold, silver, or bronze finishes counts to game % complete.

Getting trophies counts to trophy % complete.

A Spec and B Spec levels does not impact on % completion.

The higher A spec and B spec scores just means the player has redone the same event over again and again.
 
Yeah, I think it's because I didn't attempt some of the license tests yet. So it looks like A-Spec and B-Spec levels don't figure into the percentage.

There is only one Platinum trophy which you get when you earn every single Gran Turismo5 trophy.I have 8 more to get for 100% trophys,atm its on 80%.
A-spec lvl is 34 and B-spec lvl is 40,just running the last 24hour race now :).Total game percentage is 98%.
 
It's how you're playing. I'm level 32 with 29% complete.

I used to have the lowest % on my friends list, but now someone is at 22%. Oh well, he'll pass me soon and I'll have my spot back.
 
I've been wondering about the % calculations too. I've golded everything except 2 FGT events, have 4 A-spec endurances left to do, and 24-hr Nurburg in b-spec to do and at 97% complete. I've actually been at 97% for awhile. I did both 4 hour endurances, 500 indy and got a few more trophies and I haven't moved from 97%. My goal is to Platinum the game. Something I've never really cared about on any other game, but made it a goal for this one.

i really envy how much time and effort you've invested into this game. Good luck platinuming this game, from the looks of it you aren't too far, maybe by March it will be complete>
 
I am currently A-spec 37 B-Spec 40 Game Progress 95% Trophies 59% - 100% Gold in all B-Spec events - 970 cars (962 unique)

I was at 95% game progress before getting gold in A Spec Endurance 24hr Le Mans which I completed last night. This upset me as I would have liked at least a percentage point more under Game Progress for 5 days of playing.
I think having got completed the race in B-Spec notched game progress up but then no more for getting it in A-Spec.
I also guess completing Special's will also go toward game completion as well as license. I still got S to complete and a few special events (Special's such as Top Gear just never really got my juices flowing).

I would be interest to hear if there are any folk who aren't focused on gold in everything but have got 100% game progress.

My personal aim at this stage is owning every single car (almost there considering I got a good number in dealerships to still buy including all but 1 of the Nascars), getting to ASpec 40, completing the ASpec Enruance Nurburgring 24hr Race and getting round to S Lisence.
I don't think I'll go back to gaps re specials but will be disappointed if game progress not 100% after above.

A spec/ B spec = progress towards game completion
Trophies = bragging rights
 
Being at a higher level doesn't give you more game completion percentage points. It only gives you access to races and events that once successfully completed will add to your game percentage completion. The only relevance of level in trophies acquired is getting the level 40 trophy in A and B-spec. The trophy percentage does not refer to the gold, silver, or bronze trophies you win from winning an event, they refer to the trophies you get from completing specific tasks like finishing NASCAR school or designing a track or sharing a photo you took. I'm not sure what Alex P. is whining about though, there are no oddities or faults about it. And given that he can't substantiate his claim with any explanation shows that.
 
I have now completed ALL A spec and ALL B Spec events including endurance races and my total game progress is still only 95%. Trophies has increased to 65% though.
I have a few specials to get back to and the S license so here's hoping when those are complete the 95% will get a little closer to 100%
