Burnout: Revenge
Do you like speed and carnage? If so, this game is perfect for you!
There are a few game modes, heres the layout:
Race: First cross the line wins
Eliminator: Last place after every lap is knocked out until there's one left
Road Rage: My personal favourite. Theres a blue team and a red team. The blue team has to cross the finish line before being takendown. If takendown, you are able to continue playing, but your there as a protecter. You cant win the race, you can only take people down
Traffic Attack: Crash into traffic cars to build up cash (yawn)
Crash: Previous players of burnout know the game. You take your car and try make the biggest amount of carnage. You only get one shot. If you miss the cars completely, you'll just have to wait for the next round.
Burning Lap: Set a fast lap around a track
Crashbreaker Race/Eliminator/Road Rage: Excactly the same, except when you crash, you're able to blow up your car to try takeout nearby cars, at the sacrifice of boost.
After a race, your able to save a 30 second clip of a specific part of the race. You are able to then upload the clip to
®Xbox Live. If your clip gets alot of attention, it is possible to get into the top 20 clips.
The learning curve is easy. It takes about 0-30 mins to get used to the game and the controls etc.
Verdict: As I said, if you like speed and carnage, you'll love it. But if you're a serious racer that likes your racing games, it might bore you after a while. It gets a bit repetitive after a while too.
®Xbox Live is good fun with a few friends, taking each other and just enjoying the craic.
Score: 8/10
Buy, rent or avoid?: Depends. If you're not sure you like this sort of game,
RENT it first. Otherwise, its a
