Game Shark 4

I need help. I just bought a Game Shark from my local store, and Its a GameShark 2. I was informed that there was an Game Shark 4.

I went to 3 different store and Game Shark 2 was the best I found. So I searched the internet and found out that there is a Verison 4. Its still called GameShark2 right?

My friend told me there will be a sticker on the back that said verison 4. I cant find anything like that. The only thing I see is the part where they scan the id, it said "G40-03V4" I wonder if thats the one?

Can anybody get pictures of the latest Game Shark 2 Verison 4? Front and back shots.

As you can see on the bottom of each picture its differnet. The first one at Best Buy looks like mine, the front is exactly the same. The second picture, which is different then mine, on the bottom instead of having two sentence of word, it has three.

On the very bottom of mine, it has

MEMORY CARD MANAGER
PRELOADED WITH CODES FROM ALL THE LATEST GAMES.


On the second picture there is another paragraph in between both of them.

Can you show me a picture of the back of the box on GS2 Verison 4?

Well, the reason i posted this thread is because i wanted to know. But I took the chance of no return, and opened it. On the CD it said Version 4. :) I would think they would put it outside.
 
I think u got the right one,it's called GameShark 2 V4.The 1st image that you posted is exactly the same as the one on the Gameshark site.

What the heck, it wont work for my PS2. Whenever I put it in, it make this wierd sound, and said disc read error. I went to get a new one and it said the exact same thing... WTF!!
 
Where do you live.This is a shot in the dark but since that is an American product it'possible that it only works on NTSC consoles.
 
Hmm,strange.Either you have really bad luck or your PS2 is dying.I have no clue what the problem could be.Did u try to play it on another PS2?
I've never had it happen on my PS2 and i got it the first day it came out.Sorry mate.
 
Yeah you have really bad luck. The laser in my ps2 was fine until I bought my GS. Then when it started having the disc read error problems. Eventually it stopped reading everything and I had to send it back to Sony. They fixed it for free but when I called about it they specifically asked me if I had used a Gameshark. I of course lied and said no but the tech said that they caused some kind of callibration malfunction in certain (older) versions of the console. However I had version 2 GS so I don't know if that applies for the newer versions especailly now that GS is made by a completely different company.
