Games you're most excited to play?

I feel like this forum has gotten pretty negative and stale, and I'd like to kind of revitalize it. There's a lot happening in the not-so-distant future for the 360. Mass Effect, Halo 3, Resident Evil 5... What games are you guys looking forward to the most?

I think Mercenaries 2 looks pretty incredible, and I can't wait to play it. The games I mentioned before all look great, especially Mass Effect and RE5. Speaking of Resident Evil 5, have you guys seen the latest extended trailer? The most striking thing during the gameplay was how great the lighting looked - it really is such an important part of the games look.

Let's see, looks like the latest Tiger Woods drops next month... I'd pick up '07, but I hear it's multiplayer needs a lot of work, so I can wait.

So what about you guys?
 
I think the obvious title for me is going to be Halo 3. Chances are, I'm going to lose a lot of sleep, bits and pieces of my social life, and lastly my grades over the game. If Halo 3 has any of the effect on me as Halo 2 did, well, lets just say that things are going to be different for a while.

Mass Effect and BioShock are probably both extremely close second place titles to Halo 3. They too will likely suck the life out of me for a while, and I often wonder how I'm going to find the time to play both, and thusly beat both.

Lastly, PGR4. I LOVED PGR3, and I'm quite excited for the next version. I'm willing to give up FM2 for PGR4 for a while, so I'm excited to say the least.
 
Oh man, I completely forgot about Bioshock. Bioshock is weird because it's got this philisophical backstory about it that has to do with Objectivism. Can't wait to see what that's all about.
 
Halo 3 and Mercenaries 2 are the only two i'm looking forward to now that Forza 2 is out - but i don't own a 360 and will likely not buy one until they drop in price by at least 50% ($800 now for the one i'd get).

Personally, Mass Effect to me is going to be Game of the Forever for me. It looks to be a mix of KotOR (RPG style and dialogue), Gears of War (cover system, running, combat), and Bioshock (the way you can customize your weapons with special effects). 👍 PGR4, CoD4, and Mercenaries 2 all look to be shaping up very well, gameplay and graphics (well, only gameplay with Mercs 2) wise. Same with BiA and AC6. I've been wanting to buy Bully on PS2 recently, but because it was just announced for 360 I'll pick that version up for achievements and graphical updates.

I'm looking to see how Stranglehold, Army of Two, and Assassin's Creed shape up as well. Great concepts but I haven't been convinced yet.

Turok is looking amazing (believe it or not), I still play BF:MC to this day quite often so Bad Company is going to dominate my life, I loved Midnight Club 3, so the next iteration is being bought. Burnout is looking fantastic, with the way the cars crash and the entire open world. And SW:FU, well... I was in love with it the day it was unveiled.

And for the rest of '08, games I can't pin down release date wise...

Gears of War 2 (inevitable)

GTA4 is the game I'm desperately waiting for at the moment. Star Was: Force Unleashed also looks brilliant. You have to look at the two effects engines that have been designed to really appreciate it. I believe there are two videos on the website. http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed/

Forgot to add Assassins Creed.
 
Mass Effect looks like it could be interesting, and I'll probably pick up EA Skate.. other than that, there's not much I'll be getting.

Anyway, I can't wait to get a PS3 and GTHD.

I'm also getting kind of excited about GTA:IV and PGR4, but I don't really know if they are going to be that great.

I only bought the Xbox and Forza 2 to keep me busy until GT5 is eventually released on the PS3.
I got PGR3 offered when purchasing the console but still haven't unwrapped it.
 
The first one of a huge list of games that I am excited about is definetly Bioshock. Here are the rest of the games I cant wait play.
Should be in order of when they get released even thought Medal of Honor airborne got bumped a few weeks.

Halo 3 is a must-buy for me. The beta was fun, and I actually was doing good for the two days I got to play it. Looking foward to the 4 player Co-op with friends.

Madden 08, since i'm a football fan.

skate., I'm sick of tony hawk and a skateboard sim sounds awesome. Plus the videos I've seen so far look good.

I used to play other games on the PS2 like GTA San Andreas, Ico, Guitar Hero, but it's true than 90% of my gaming time is spent on racing games.

In addition to that, I only bought the Xbox to play Forza 2 and I'll switch back to Sony as soon as GT5 is released.
So I might buy other games when I have a PS3 next year, but not on the Xbox.

It is an outrageously fun title that deserves a try at the very least on your behalf. It was the first game I bought for X360, and I still play it, although, Forza 2 has cut down the time significantly. The arcade feel is a nice break from the more realistic feel of Forza 2, and being able to whip say, a Ferrari F430 around a track driving like an idiot is quite a lot of fun.

The online racing will probably be the biggest and best part of the franchise, IMO (I was a long-time runner in PGR2), so thats worth a look too.
 
My new updated list now that Turok and GTA4 have been bumped until 2008. I am sure a few more of these will get bumped until 2008.
