This should be an interesting GC this year. Especially if you're a racing fan. Motorstorm: Apocolypse, NFS Hot Pursuit, Gran Turismo 5, Dirt 3 and TDU 2 are all scheduled to make an appearance.
I would assume GC is where Atari and Eden will announce console Beta details for TDU2 and also announce what those of us who signed up for the beta are getting as an apology gift.
EA is looking to toss out more details on Criterion Games' NFS title. And I'd expect Shift 2 details to come out, as well. Maybe we'll get at least a partial car list.
Motorstorm is back with a little bit of Split/Second tossed in...only better and crazier. We've been in the desert, jungle, snow and now we're in the city and we now know the Motorstorm world is falling apart...literally.
Dirt is also making a comeback. And I'm sure a lot more details will be dropped on it at GamesCom.
And for the elephant in the room, it's Gran Turismo 5. Supposedly there's supposed to be a near completed GT5 showing in a couple days. And a lot of juicy details will be unveiled. Maybe we'll get our hands on some Maseratis and Teslas. Maybe the full car and track list will be unvealed. We'll find out.
For thos of you who aren't racers. MediaMolicule has announced a LPB2 Beta coming soon. More details on that might turn up at GC. Details on the AC Brotherhood Beta should also surface. And who knows what else.
