I just started a game when all of a sudden my game shark cd said, "hardware not detected." The PS2 it's self was not touched, and then I restarted it, when I got back into the main menu I looked at my game list, and everything was completely erased. :irked: :banghead: :( I have no idea what happened.

:odd:

You lost all your data on your memory card?

I've seen the "hardware not detected" warning many a time and have only had to reset my PS2 to get it to work again with no loss of data, so I don't really know why you lost your game saves.

Sorry to hear that man.

Here's my best guess as to what happened. Somehow the damn gameshark burnt out or something, and the disk knows that the gameshark is in the slot, but there's no data traveling to and from the sharkcard it's self. I tried to remake all the codes I lost and it just would not save. That's my educated guess as to what happened, if anyone else had it happen to them, sorry to hear, I need my money back.

Yes, when i had a gs, it glitched and i lost everything after the letter "s". Then a while alter it did it again and lost everything after "d". wierd alot of the game where getting currupted on it. like the letters would turn into some kind alien-looking writing and the codes did the same. it was all weird and can't really explain all the stuuf then when wrong with it.

I have had that happen many times with gameshark 2 ver 2. All you have to do is reset the fatory defaults by holding L1, L2, R1, R2 and the start button when you put the gs2 disc in and hold it till it completly loads then press x at the warning message.

Yes, you have to fully reboot your system, bringing back to the origanal settings. note after it happened to me the second time, it was virtualy useless.
