Gameshark

Im Getting a ps2 (a bit late but anyway...), And was wondering what i do about getting a gameshark, can i use the same one for both the ps1 and ps2?

I would suggest getting a Action replay 2(GS2) or a Codebreaker 4-6, if you are looking for a coding device. If you are mainly looking to hybrid cars though, I would suggest the x-port instead.
To answer your question....they will not be backwards compatable.

Though if you get your hands on a GS2 v2.2 you will get a nice, but totaly DEFECTIVE psx/1 disc, that freezes everytime you use it.
