On reading several threads and their replies.. it seems that most GT enthusiasts use gamesharking, and other cheating ways to get what and to where they want. I'm sorry to say that it really P*sses me off to think that people can't be arsed even trying. Mixing car parts to make cars just so unrealistic.. its killing the GT spirit !!!

Who else has this view... ??? what do you think about shark codes ???

i think it sucks aswell, not really because they are cheating but because it totally takes away the whole point of playing GT3. Imo it would get very boring very quickly using Gameshark.....If I want to just get right into a racing game and have a fast car immediately I stick Burnout 2 in....but thats not the way GT3 should be played.
 
I think that gameshark and oll the other cheating methods shouldn't have even come out with codes for GT3 and hope they don't for GT4.
 
I dont see what the problem is. I can think of three good reasons for using a shark.

1) You can unlock the hidden cars like the Diablo.
2) You can download replay data to your PC for entering on-line racing competitions.
3) It opens up the interesting and technical world of hybrids.

If someone wants to use the shark to 'cheat' whats your problem with that? So long as you're happy doing things the way you want to do them does it matter if someone else takes a shortcut.

And you dont need a shark to shortcut either, you can use the rubber band trick, the 2 memory card trick or just copy someone else's memory card.

And no, I don't have a shark and have never taken a shortcut, except sometimes across the grass...
 
Actually your not seeing it right. Most people use a Game shark/sharkport to add more fun to the game. They have already beaten it and are looking for more fun. Havent you ever tried a hybrid? They are lots of fun. There area a percentage who do use it to get farther and they are the real ass**les...
 
People using a GameShark doesn't bother me. What does bother me are the wiseguys who brag about using it to cheat their way through the entire game, like it was some big accomplishment. You know the type, the ones who answer every question about what car to use where with something like

hmmmmm just hack teh escudoe 2 get 10000000 hp and u will win every race if u dont do taht ur a dumbass lol!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!1!!!!

(Damn, now my head hurts from typing like that.)

Like Wastegate and Frustrated Palm said, it can be a useful tool for getting at the things which aren't readily available even if you play all the way through. But when people start using a GameShark as a crutch instead of a tool, that's when it starts to get on my nerves.
 
I think a lot of people are missing the point here, Supra4ever originally said

I think he meant (and its what I meant), that it annoys him when people just get the game and use gameshark to cheat through is from day 1.
